Concept Ad for Sketchers Rebrand - May 2026

Skechers man…
The thing is with Skechers is that they actually feel great. It’s why so many older people wear them. You get to a certain point in life where you just don’t care.

You ever see those Skechers ads and it’s a little weird bc their trying so hard to be new wave and cool but it just doesn’t work because at the end of the day they will always be Skechers and Skechers are kinda lame? (See vid...)

So why doesn’t Skechers make a campaign that makes their shoe actually cool…What’s cool are the blunt old guys who wear Skechers and don’t even think about it. Zero care in the world. Like a hooper Grandad who just goes and balls out.

Target the ad for Sketchers’ Demographic. Maybe it hits people in the way Skechers should be hitting people : prioritizing price and comfort over trend and aesthetic.

Have him dunk all over his Grandson. Aura. Old man Nuts in his face and everything. Hold that lil boy. (Gdad was more of a slasher than shooter in highschool)

Make that dunking scene cut to a slo mo frame where Grandad has the same pose as MJ in the dunk contest.
